Where does our product come from? It starts in our local forests. We use selective cutting surveyors on private wood lots to mark the trees suitable for harvest. Single logging roads are carefully cut into the property to provide access for logging skidders. This allows them to remove the trees by cable, reducing damage to the wood lot.
A logger’s life is a dangerous job that requires skill, patience and passion for this kind of work. Logs are tagged and shipped to local mills where band saw or circular blades are used to give RuffSawn our distinctive appearance. Our crafting process enhances the authentic mill marks in our final products. The lumber is then seasoned and kiln dried to produce stable and durable wood for our furniture.
