High Point Trends & Takeaways
After skipping the show for the past two years, we knew we couldn’t pass up another trip to High Point Market, so myself (Linnea, CF Interiors' Marketing Manager and Buyer, and Brock, co-owner of CF Interiors) flew down to North Carolina for a few days, in preparation for 2022! Our days were stacked with vendor appointments, and they were nothing short of inspiring. If you’re curious about what’s new for 2022, I'm here to share all the trends and takeaways from the show, in case you missed them on Instagram!
No matter which showroom or booth we went to, every vendor had CURVES. It almost became an inside joke because I’m already obsessed with curves as it is, so I pretty much loved everything we saw. From soft-edge tables and rounded feet, to curved chair backs, wavy sofas and everything in between, the soft lines were everywhere - and we’re here for it!!
Did someone say bouclé? The ever-popular fabric is having a major it-moment right now. Its versatility, imperfect look, and forgiving texture make it very popular among our vendors, and for good reason. Bouclé adds instant texture and warmth to an otherwise cold, boring room.
Whether you like it or not, rattan, cane, and other woven materials are here to stay. There’s something about woven details that just add an element of coziness to a room, even in the slightest way. Our favourite woven and cane pieces that we saw included cabinet fronts, outdoor chair backs, and counter stools.
Whether it was warm tones, artisanal fabrics, or carved, intricate woods, worldly influence was seen everywhere. Vendors are embracing influences of their makers all over the world, and with travel still presenting somewhat of a challenge, this trend allows you to bring a sense of global views right into your living room.
From curves to volume, cane and bouclé in between, our High Point experience was second to none, and we can’t wait to show you some of the new pieces that will be hitting our showrooms next year! Looking to incorporate some of these trends into your home? Shop some of the High Point trends below!
