We're looking for an experienced and driven sales leader to join our team to help take our sales to the next level. This role will be responsible for building and managing our sales team while assisting with retail sales and working the floor.

The ideal candidate has both management and sales experience in the Furniture or Home Décor industry. You are eager to identify areas of opportunity, find creative ways to solve problems and enjoy a dynamic work environment with a variety of constantly changing tasks.

About the Role:

As the Retail Sales Manager you will be responsible for the following and additional duties as delegated:

Sales Management:
    • Define the sales strategy:Ask and answer questions like; What new brands/products should we focus on selling? Whom should we sell to? How can we scale our sales process? How can we upsell and cross-sell existing customers?
    • Lead by example: Be the leader on the sales floor, showcase your senior selling techniques, assist with product knowledge and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Help your team win business: Advise the sales team on current promotions, review seasonal opportunities, point out obstacles, and identify opportunities.
    • Store Operations: Manage the daily store operations when the owners are away.
    • Administration: Oversee the Store Administrator and ensure tasks are being completed correctly and in a timely manner.
    • Process + Procedure: Assist with implementation for new process + procedure and hold the team accountable to consistently follow SOP's.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of previous sales experience - preferably in furniture sales
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous retail management experience
  • Proven track record of success helping a team to drive sales and profitability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable based on the daily needs of the business

Nice to Haves:

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
